Ok, so I am sure that you have noticed. Ad networks are getting tired of there advertisements being blocked, so they are using text based ads in place of flash banner, or gif banner ads. They are doing it because it is there main source of income. Fair enough right? But what about those of us that dont want to/ will not click there ads. There is no point in us having to see them if we arnt going to use them anyway. Some of us dont have the money, others of us have it but dont want to spend it. Enough of my raddeling, we have plenty of reasons. Time to block them...
:LETS GET BLOCKING!:
To start with, lets block Ads By Google.
Simply insert the following line into adblockplus,
*googlesyndication*
Just navigate to google, and do a search. You will find that there ads arnt there anymore. Anywhere.
Now lets handle a lot of the others...
Please add the following lines to adblockplus, exactly as you see them.
*clickshield.net*
*primosearch.com*
*blueseek.com*
Those are the top 3, now its time for you to find some.
Q: How do I block a text based link?
A:
It is simple. You find the root domain withen a url, and wrap it in astricts ( *'s ).
Example.
Lets find the root domain withen the following url:
http://redirect.clickshield.net/jump1/? ... 20an%20ant
i-spyware&sid=Z433044026%40EzXwUjN28lM1EzMfFjMfJTNy8VO2gDO5gzNxITM&a=fpbhe
Do you see it?
http://redirect.clickshield.net/jump1/?affiliate=6678&subid=nat&terms=designing%20an%20anti-
spyware&sid=Z433044026%40EzXwUjN28lM1EzMfFjMfJTNy8VO2gDO5gzNxITM&a=fpbhe
The root domain in the url above is: clickshield.net.
You can then add it to abp. Just remember to add it like this:
*clickshield.net*
